Requesting and Using Organisation and Personal Information
We take your privacy seriously. Atlantic KET Med (AKM) is bringing new, high tech, pilot production capacity to the EU Atlantic Area in support of SMEs and Start-ups using the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) to produce Next-Generation medical devices.
Atlantic KET Med is being delivered by a Consortium of seven organizations who are key stakeholders in the med-tech sector in the Atlantic Area of the EU. The Consortium, conceived to be representative of the Key Enabling Technologies and businesses that use them, spans the EU Atlantic Area with partners in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, and Portugal.
Companies working within medical technologies that are located within the Atlantic Area are encouraged to engage with the project team by registering their details with their country representative.
During registration, we request information about your organisation including the organisation name, area of business, number of employees, website and business address. Our aim in collecting this information is to better understand what you and your organisation will find most useful from Atlantic-KET-Med and the resources of our Partners. It is also a means to build a network of engaged medtech businesses across the Atlantic Area who can choose to benefit from collaborative opportunities.
On registration, we also request personal information including your name, organisation, job title, business email address, and office phone/business mobile number and we ask you to Opt-in to receive project newsletters and bulletins. We collect these personal data from so that we can include you on the Atlantic-KET-Med Mailing List and thereby contact you with relevant information about our services, events and training via our regular e-newsletters.
Atlantic-KET-Med holds and processes this personal information submitted by people who are interested in the activities of the Project under the lawful basis of Consent and individuals can unsubscribe from the Atlantic-KET-Med Mailing List at any time.
Atlantic-KET-Med’s wider network
As an engaged group of Partners, Atlantic-KET-Med strives to support the whole Atlantic Area medical technologies sector so our network of contacts extends beyond those people and companies that register on the website. The Atlantic-KET-Med Project Partners are building a network which includes people we have met, and through various enquiries, we receive via telephone and email in which personal details are exchanged via mutual consent. We may also gather details from publicly available sources e.g. company websites to strengthen and grow the Atlantic-KET-Med network of relevant businesses and the key individuals involved.
In all cases, the personal data held is securely held within a CRM and is restricted to name, organisation, job title, business email, office phone and business mobile. Organisations and key contacts may be profiled by business area and expertise respectively. Atlantic-KET-Med does not hold personal data beyond the point of relevance in accordance with the principle of privacy by design.
Anyone can make a request to see their personal data held by Atlantic-KET-Med on the project website https://atlantic-ketmed.eu/ the CRM or the e-marketing system and a report will be provided. In addition, anyone can request that their personal data is erased, however, such erasure may mean that the individual can no longer access Atlantic-KET-Med services. All members of staff allocated to the Atlantic-KET-Med Project across the seven Partners process personal data in the usual course of delivering Project activities. Atlantic-KET-Med does not hold personal data which would compromise the rights and freedoms of individuals if a data breach were to occur and all staff are trained in the importance of data accuracy and the confidential nature of personal data held by the Atlantic-KET-Med Partnership.
Information we collect about website visitors
We may also collect aggregate data based upon website usage. These data allow us to assess the popularity of certain areas of the website and our services and raise the level of our service performance. These data are collected using ‘cookies’.
A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser. On revisiting the website our computer server will recognise the cookie, giving us information about your last visit. Cookies do not store or reveal any personal information. Disclosure to Other Parties
We do not pass, sell, trade or rent personal details entered on this website to others. If your company is actively engaged with the Atlantic-KET-Med Project, we may put you in touch with other companies or individuals where there is clear value on both sides in making the two-way connection. You are able to exclude yourself from such introductions by informing the Atlantic-KET-Med Partnership of your wishes. You agree that you do not and will not consider anything in this privacy policy is a breach of any of your rights under the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999.
We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information under the lawful basis of Legal Obligation to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate our systems properly or to protect ourselves or our users. Under the lawful basis of Contract, we also reserve the right to disclose individually identifiable information to third parties where a complaint arises concerning your use of the website, and that use is deemed by the Atlantic-KET-Med Project Leader to be inconsistent with these Terms and/or any Additional Terms.
